When I returned, Outlook.com loaded properly for several days, There have been days when it would not load properly in the morning, then load properly latter in the day. Last week, everything loaded properly and I was able to read and send emails. Yesterday and today, it is not loading properly and I can't read or send emails. I can't do anything. However, if I open the email on my MacBook Pro the image shows up fine. Tried to find some setting we could use to change this, but I have not. Try this: Settings / Mail,Contacts,Calendars / Load Remote Images = set to ON.
In the past, I would select a picture or pictures in iPhoto. Then I would use the Share menu in iPhoto. This also allowed me to adjust the size of a picture. With iPhoto, when I made Apple Mail my default email app, it would appear in the Share menu. With iPhoto, when I made Outlook my default app, it would also appear in the Share menu. With the new 'Photos' app, I can only get Apple Mail to appear in the Share menu. I prefer using Outlook.
I can drag a picture from the new 'Photos' to the desktop, and then drag it to an Outlook email, but then I lose the ability to reduce the size of the picture if needed. It was a very simple process with iPhoto. Corvairkid wrote: Some additional info. I believe Apple expect app developers to provide the plug-ins. As Microsoft is the only company that knows how it's email client should handle an image 'shared' to it, they would have to write the sharing plug-in. Outlook for Mac 2011 ver.14.4.8 not compatible with Apple Photos ver.1.0. Apple has upgraded iPhoto and renamed it Photos. When I try to send an email with a picture attachment, Outlook no longer shows up in the Apple Photos drop down Share menu. Only Apple Mail will work with the new Photos app.
This problem happened before in October 2012 when Apple released iPhoto 9.4.1. Outlook would not work with it.

When iPhoto 9.4.2 was released in November 2012 the problem was fixed. I prefer using Outlook, but it looks like I'm stuck with Apple Mail until a fix is released. Does anyone know of a work-around for this problem? Apple Footer • This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
