Unlike PCs, which require manual maintenance to clear temporary file caches, the Mac's UNIX-based operating system is designed to automatically run maintenance and clear temporary files. Emergency situations arise, however, and you may not be able to wait for the next automatic maintenance point. Using the solver vba functions for excel in mac. If your unsaved word processor document shuts down unexpectedly or your multi-version file has a large temporary data cache causing a lag on your system, locate your Mac's TMP (temporary) folder using Terminal and your Finder, and manually access or clear files as needed.

Hi All, Can anyone advise regarding the following problem. Windows XP, Outlook 2003. We have a system that e-mails files to users, the files are always the same name for example 'voicemail.wav' when user opens this file in Outlook this file it creates a temp file at 'Documents and Settings USERNAME Local Settings Temporary Internet Files OLKxx' Where xx is a random letter/number. Each file is then created in that folder called voicemail (2), voicemail (3) and so on, once this get to 100 files of the same name the user gets a error when they try to open a file attachment ( voicemail.wav ) the error they get is.
Outlook 2016 users that are looking for the OLK temporary folder, also known as the OutlookSecureTempFolder, can track down the folder using the registry key map above.
'Can't create file: Voicemail.wav. Right click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder'. The only way to fix this is to delete the files, then the user can work. Is there anyway to automate this task? Cant think of one off top of my head as the foder name is random.
Ive found this but it just explains the problem and not a fix.
