I understand I could run a login script to copy the new signature to the users proflie (%Userprofile% Application Data Microsoft Signature). We have some german installation where the folder Application Data is called Anwendungsdaten.
Does a variable exist for this folder? Second I would run a reg file to to make this signature active in the Outlook client. Where is this registry entry located? I couldn't find it. The user would then have a chance to change some variables like user name, title and phone extension. We do not use disclaimer, since those are added at the outgoing smtp server.
What do you think? Would this be a practical way to force my users for a new signature format.
Are there any other option available to introduce a new signature to my users. Regards Edy • 2. I can't seem to print multiple work weeks on the same page. Is this a printer option or is there something in Outlook 2002 that allows me to do this? I don't see any option available. Is there an easier way of installing my Message Rules instead of having to manually activate each one. I have backed them up but when I import them, it seems I have to click on each one and tell OL where the folder(s) is where I want the message to go.
Hoping there is a quicker, easier solution! Thank you • 4. I'm using Outlook 2000 on Win XP Home.
I created a signature. The lines are double spaced. I can't figure out how to get them single spaced.
Suggestions, anybody? Similar Threads: 1. I've received an e-mail in Outlook that contains a readme file. How do I access this. I'm using windows 2000 professional. After upgrading to Windows XP from Windows 98SE, I discovered that the 'readme' file listed under OE Help does not exist.
Instead a message appears that directs you to a 'readme.doc' file in the root directory of the Windows XP CD disk. When I looked at the root directory of that disk, there is a 'Doc' folder containing 2 text files ('Read1st.txt' and 'Pro.txt'), but no 'readme.doc' there or in the root directory. The only readme file in the root directory of the CD is one called 'Readme.htm'. So is there an OE readme file for Windows XP? I have Windows XP Pro.
I am running XP with office 2003. I have been trying to figure out how to take 5.doc files and have them saved as one.doc file. I tried under DOS to copy using the append feature (copy *.doc master.doc) This didn't work. I don't see any selector or function within Word that would allow this to be done. Sooo, other than 'buying' another piece of software, is there a way (within Word or externally via command line or other native function) that I can take sample1.doc sample2.doc sample3.doc and create master.doc??

Thanks to all that respond. Hi, Whenever I boot-up a Windows session, the first MS Word document I open is my Log.doc. Usually I keep it minimized.
However, it seems whenever I open any other Word doc., my Log doc. Reopens, which reduces my machine's performance. Is there any way I can defeat Log's behavior? Thanks in Advance, Richard 5. How can I do it? Go to end of document.
Press enter to add a new paragraph (not required, but good to do). Use menu: Insert/File. (read in Help about this. Search for words 'insert file' > > I have another complication.
I have footers at the bottom of each page in each doc. For example, Worddoc1.doc's footer helps organize the document by Chapter number and page number. 1.1 (represents chapter 1 page 1), 1.2 (represents chapter 1 page 2), and the last page in Worddoc1.doc is 1.16 (represents chapter 1 page 16). > > However, in WordDoc2.doc the footer display as.
2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4. > > When I try to insert WordDoc2.doc into WordDoc1.doc, 2.1 becomes 1.17, 2.2 becomes 1.18, and 2.3 becomes 1.19. > > MS WORD changed the footer automatically. > > My question is, how can insert the document and still keep my footer information? In other words, keep 2.2 as 2.2 instead of it transforming to 1.18 Yes, because you inserted the second file into the same section and the footers are formatted to display section number. Insert section break bteween the two parts of the document.
