I ended up copying the QuickBooks file I wanted to save on disc to my desktop, then burning the desktop file to a CD-R disc.

That disc will now open the file on my computer. I have not tried the disc yet in a different computer to see if it will open.it may be that each computer must have the QuickBooks program installed to open anything associated with QuickBooks.
