Hi my name is Sam. I'm a consultant at NUIT and today I'm going to show you how to connect to VPN on a Mac. You want to click on the Apple sign and then System Preferences. Select Network and click add a network on the bottom left hand corner. Select VPN make sure the VPN Type is L2TP over IPSec and type in Northwestern VPN for the Service Name. Click on Create.

For the Server Address type in vpn-nu.vpn.northwestern.edu. For your Account Name type in your NetID Click on Apply and then select Authentication Settings. Enter northwesternvpn in lower case under the Shared Secret. Click OK and then click Apply Lastly, select the Advanced setting and check all traffic over VPN connection. Click OK, apply, and then Connect. Type in your NetID password and select OK.
