I don't use AOO to make presentations. I prefer Keynote. Open you screenshot in Preview and reduce the size so you can post it (Tools/Adjust size).
Will Java compiled in windows work in Linux? JRE on your Linux machine and not some 3rd party Java implementation such as gcj or the likes. In my experience, Java applications are quite portable as long as you stick to the same JVM/runtime vendor on every target SO, but Java implementations from different vendors might behave different from. NetBeans Java Project will compile on Mac but not PC. It was originally written on a Macbook, and runs just fine, but when I try and run it from my PC I get the following errors: Exception in Application start method java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect. I'm having hard days with Libre Office Vanilla latest release on Sierra. It ramdomly hangs up (spinning ball). Mostly on file aperture. LibreOffice, any version, is not working with Sierra. They are working on fix. Same problem with mac iMac 5k late 2015. Typing something in a writer document calls the spinning ball in libre office. If you deploy LibreOffice in an enterprise or corporate environment or are a conservative user, please choose this version. For business deployments, we.
☉ Schedule music recording via the recording task scheduler. Audacity for mac wont record on mac. ☉ Automatically/manually add music tags: artist, album, etc. ☉ Record music from 1000+ music sites: YouTube, Facebook, etc. ☉ Save recordings to either WAV/MP3/W4A format.
Interface is fine for me. Resetting your user profile might help. Alandunn wrote:I have tried the fixes - downloaded and confirmed install of Java. On menubar: OpenOffice/Preferences/OpenOffice/Java Make sure 'Use a Java Runtime Environment' is checked and there is a check mark beside a installed JRE. I upgraded my iMac from El Capitan to Sierra and found that the toolbar icons in OpenOffice word and OpenOffice spreadsheet documents were corrupted (see attached small screenshot) I did some research on this forum and found that Java was required so I installed both the recommended legacy version and a new version and made sure the 'use Java runtime environment' was ticked but neither made any difference. I then completely uninstalled OpenOffice and used a cleaning app to make sure all elements were correctly removed (including user preferences I think) then reinstalled a fresh download of OpenOffice directly from the AOO website.
When clicking on the OpenOffice seagull icon in Launchpad OpenOffice started and then immediately crashed with the message ‘OpenOffice quit unexpectedly’ and an error report (attached) I tried lots of different ideas to try and solve this problem but to no avail. I then for some reason tried to open an existing document from the documents menu and low and behold it opened up correctly albeit with the toolbar icons still corrupted. So I have two problems; OpenOffice won't open from the main OpenOffice launch icon and When a document is opened (directly from documents folder) OpenOffice opens correctly but the toolbars icons are corrupted. Incidentally I have AOO 3.3.0 installed on my wife’s MacBook Air which has also been upgraded too Sierra and has no problems running OpenOffice.
Can anyone help please? Martin Attachments. Further info, I still have the problem, but after three days I really believe it is caused by not having access to a Java Runtime Environment.
