I went to the Adobe site, ran their test and verified that the Adobe Flash Player installed is the correct version for IE 11 in a Windows 7 OS. 11.9.900.152 I've also performed all the steps here: I know that Adobe Flash Player is installed and works in some cases because I know from past experience the Yahoo>Finance 'Interactive Charts' requires the same Adobe Flash Player that these videos claim to need:-( Additionally, the same sites with videos that claim they need Flash Player to view, display and run just fine using Firefox or Opera browsers. I've managed to get the videos on Yahoo home page to play by adding Yahoo.com to the IE Tools>Compatibility View Settings list. However, that isn't a fix all, because here is an example of another site that won't display the video regardless if the site is added to the Compatibility View Settings list. All indication point to an problem with the IE 11. Anyone else having this problem or suggestions to fix?

I've encountered the exact same problem with Yahoo Flash videos and Games. IE 11, Win 7 64-bit. I tried this on several computers, all Win7 64-bit. Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.152 is correctly installed and enabled in add-ons. The error is 'You need Adobe Flash to play this video.'

It does not seem to happen on other sites but I don't use IE very frequently so I only have a small sample size. As far as I can tell, this bug first appeared after applying the November MS updates on Nov 13, 2013. The Flash video on OP's (Greg Maxey) National Geographic link works for me. His compatibility suggestion also worked for Yahoo.

MSN Games is squawking about IE 11 changes also by displaying: 'Your browser or operating system does not meet the minimum requirements to play MSN Games.' This error appears when using a browser other than IE but now also appears when using IE 11. I use Chrome a lot and Flash is working on all sites as far as I can tell.
