As I replied to Jim, it does appear that the behavior is different based on the method you're using. I'm not at all sure but I believe the difference may be due to either or both of 2 factors: • Conflict resolution due to previous sums being added in when they shouldn't be, & • Implementation of the new Tables feature in Excel 2011 I'd suggest you consider using a Table -- It's a significant improvement over the old List Manager. Used properly it will automatically provide what you're trying to do. Be sure to fully & accurately enumerate the steps as you're accustomed to performing them.
